陪同翻譯的注意事項有哪些?

一、不管是新手還是老手的口譯員,在進行陪同口譯的項目之前,一定要認真準(zhǔn)備,熟悉需要翻譯的文件內(nèi)容,思考可能涉及的相關(guān)領(lǐng)域知識。因為準(zhǔn)備不充分、翻譯不流暢是口譯員最大的失誤。
1、 Whether it is a novice or an old interpreter, before carrying out the accompanying interpretation project, he must prepare carefully, be familiar with the contents of the documents to be translated and think about the relevant fields that may be involved. Because the preparation is not enough and the translation is not smooth is the biggest mistake of the interpreter.
二、口譯員應(yīng)該比客戶提前15-20分鐘到達,無論有何種情況都不應(yīng)該遲到。如果遇到堵車或其他特殊情況耽誤,務(wù)必要給客戶打個電話解釋一下。
2、 Interpreters should arrive 15-20 minutes ahead of the customer, and should not be late in any case. If you have a traffic jam or other special situation, please call the customer to explain it.
三、跟同聲傳譯不同,大部分陪同翻譯項目都是需要露面的,所以應(yīng)該注意穿著,不能太隨便搭配,不能邋遢出場。作為陪同翻譯人員,需要跟隨在外賓的左右,所以最好穿正式的衣服。
3、 Unlike simultaneous interpretation, most of the accompanying translation projects need to be exposed, so we should pay attention to wearing, not too casual collocation, not sloppy appearance. As a translator, you need to follow the foreign guests, so it is better to wear formal clothes.
四、陪同翻譯應(yīng)該學(xué)會察言觀色。因為很多時候陪同翻譯要應(yīng)付的不僅僅只是正式的談判場合。客戶既然雇傭你并支付一天的費用,肯定是希望你在生活的各個方面都給與幫助。比如:客戶看不懂菜譜、找不到洗手間、想要什么東西時,翻譯都應(yīng)該主動上前詢問是否需要幫助。
4、 Accompanying translation should learn to look at words and opinions. Because many times, accompanying the translator is not only dealing with formal negotiation occasions. Since the customer hires you and pays for a day, he is sure to hope you can help in all aspects of life. For example: when the customer can't understand the recipe, can't find the bathroom, or want anything, the translator should take the initiative to ask if help is needed.
五、因時間有結(jié)余或者中間有比較長的空閑時間的情況下,客戶私自要求譯員去周邊地區(qū)旅游及相關(guān)項目時,其實是非常危險的,能避免應(yīng)盡量避免,因為一來這類項目不能保證付費,第二點也就是最重要的,譯員和客戶二者中任何一個人出現(xiàn)安全問題,誰也無法保證誰也無法負責(zé)。確實無法避免的情況之下,應(yīng)該在出發(fā)之前和客戶說明相關(guān)情況,并找到第三方人員做證。

六、中國人一般都會認為“提錢傷感情”,而外國人則主張公事公辦。如果客戶堅持付費,一定要說好是一次性付費還是按天付費。如果遮遮掩掩不敢明說,吃虧的還是自己。
6、 Chinese people generally think that "raising money hurts feelings", while foreigners advocate public affairs. If the customer insists on paying, it is necessary to say whether to pay at one time or pay by day. If you hide it, you dare not say it, you still suffer from it.
七、一般情況下,翻譯公司都會在任務(wù)結(jié)束后一個月內(nèi)將費用打到賬戶上,所以除了事先說明是客戶當(dāng)場付費,否則很少有在一周之內(nèi)費用到賬的情況。
7、 Generally, translation companies will pay the fees to the account within one month after the end of the task, so there are few charges to be paid in a week except for the customer paying on the spot in advance.
八、永遠不要拋開介紹人直接聯(lián)系客戶。就算介紹人允許你這樣做,你也應(yīng)該不時匯報一下該項目的情況和進展,否則會給人留下一種“不懂事”或“忘恩負義”的不良印象。另外就是如果口譯項目是別人介紹的,收到錢后一定要通知介紹人一聲,介紹人不求你對他感恩戴德,但起碼應(yīng)尊重人家的知情權(quán),而且特別是因為中間出現(xiàn)任何問題,往往還需要介紹人出面幫你解決。
8、 Never leave the introducer directly in touch with the customer. Even if the introducer allows you to do so, you should report the status and progress of the project from time to time, otherwise you will leave a bad impression of "ignorance" or "ungrateful". In addition, if the interpretation project is introduced by others, the introducer must be informed after receiving the money. The introducer does not ask you to thank him. However, at least, he should respect the right to know. In addition, because of any problems in the process, the introducer will often need to come out to help you solve it.
